Our story

Hi, my name is Michiel!

 

In the summer of 2025 I left my job behind in Belgium and started a nine-month journey with my girlfriend through Southeast Asia and New Zealand.

The idea started on a beach in Lombok, Indonesia, where a local woman approached me to sell handmade woven bracelets. She showed me a red and white bracelet and explained that these were the colours of Indonesia. I liked the simplicity of it: colours that represented a place and a memory.

 

A month later, I arrived in New Zealand. Instead of travelling with a backpack, I bought a Marin bikepacking bike, camping gear, and everything I needed for a six-week cycling adventure. Together with my girlfriend, we cycled around 1,500 km across New Zealand.

 

During this journey, I became proud of what I was achieving and wanted a sticker for my bike frame to remember the adventure. But I couldn’t find anything that felt right.

 

Then, one day while riding the Rainbow Trail on the South Island, I got the idea to create my own bike stickers. Inspired by the woven bracelets from Lombok and vintage bike decals, Ringtailll was born!

 

When I returned to Belgium in 2026, I started developing the idea further, and Ringtailll slowly became a reality.

 

Today, we make bike stickers for cyclists, bikepackers, gravel riders, and anyone who wants to give their bike a personal touch...
